Vision
Skillfully crafted hardwood furniture is among the most beautiful and sort after home furnishings in the world. However in recent years the supply of high quality hardwood has been slowly running out as the forests become depleted. This is accelerated by the fact that diseases such as dieback are spreading and destroying many native trees in the process. In 20 to 30 years time there will be a shortage of West Australian timber and high demand across the globe. Martin Dobeli is a man with half a century of experience operating his own business in the timber industry. He fell in love with natural beauty of the South West of Western Australia and immediately saw an opportunity for development.

This how is a vision was born and a 40 Hectare property with fertile soil and plentiful water was reforrested with exotic trees. Planting began in 1996 and today some 4000 trees are growing on 14 Hectares of prime land. An automated irrigation system uses the property's six dams to water the trees, ensuring growth and health all year round.
